Application Details

In an effort to continue Mr. Finnell's legacy, it is our mission to support Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School (W-WCHS) alumni with the attainment of their educational and career goals. The Eddie H. Finnell, Sr. Scholarship is offered to W-WCHS alumni who are in financial need and are attending/plan to attend a qualifying technical, 2-year, or 4-year college.

 

The scholarship application deadline is July 15, 2020. Return the application form with all supporting materials by the deadline to Eddie H. Finnell, Sr. Scholarship, C/O Kay Finnell, 301 Gordon Street, Washington, GA 30673 or email to ehfinnellsrscholarship@gmail.com.

 

Instructions: 

Download and complete the scholarship application form linked in the picture below. It is a fillable PDF application. Please read all parts of the application carefully before filling it out. Respond to all parts of the application: your personal and educational information; honors, accomplishments, and activities; and essay. Please include your full name on all application document filenames.  

 

In addition to completing the application, provide required information listed below:

1. Submit a copy of your most recent transcript. Eligible applicants must have at least a 2.5 cumulative high school/college grade point average.

2. Submit two (2) scholarship recommendation forms. Download the form linked in the picture below. It is a fillable PDF form. Please follow the directions provided. 

 

NOTE: Scholarship awardees will be required to submit verification of current enrollment from your college registrar’s office before you can receive your check.
